Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art that focuses on grappling, “newaza”, with the objective of gaining a dominant position and using joint-locks
and choke-holds to control or submit his/her opponent. Using the proper leverage and technique, the weaker/smaller person is able to defend
themselves against the stronger/bigger opponent. BJJ includes training for self-defense, sport (tournament gi & no-gi) and MMA. Sparring plays a
major role in training as it provides the opportunity to apply the techniques learned in a controlled environment based on trust and mutual respect.

No-gi training is jiu-jitsu but without the gi/kimono, just shorts & t-shirt. Techniques are adapted for this difference but the basic mechanics and
concepts remain thesame. At Bangkok BJJ, we believe in a strong foundation in the gi/kimono allows for an easier transition and command of the
techniques when switching to no-gi. Training in the gi is like training with weights and no-gi is the sprint.

Crazy Monkey is a unique approach to boxing principles meant to be incorporated in Mixed Martial Arts and Self-Defense. It was developed by
South African martial arts coach Rodney King (not the same and no relation to Rodney King), and is taught worldwide by members of the
Performance Coaching World Alliance (PCWA) . Similar in many ways to a classic boxing "high guard," it is often first taught as a defense but can
and has been used offensively by professional MMA fighters successfully.
The stance is very squared, with the lead leg only slightly forward. This makes it easy for the practitioner to shoot or sprawl.
There is no relation or any influence from Monkey Kung Fu.
While the stance and posture are the most obvious elements of Crazy Monkey, there is an in-depth coaching methodology behind the delivery of it.
This method has allowed the system to be used for sport, self-defence, law enforcement, military training or as a tool for self development.

Unlike traditional dumbbells, the kettlebell's center of mass is extended beyond the hand, similar to a Clubbell. This allows for swing movements
not possible with traditional dumbbells. Because more muscle groups are utilized in the swinging and movement of a kettlebell than during the
lifting of dumbbells (particularly posterior chain and core muscles), a kettlebell workout is sometimes claimed to be more effective, and yields
better results in less time (dependent on training goals).
Because the center of mass on a kettlebell "swings", micro-muscles are needed to balance a kettlebell, more so than a dumbbell. The existence
of a handle allows for "release moves" which are not available to a dumbbell.
