Bangkok BJJ is a non-affiliate academy specializing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Submission-Grappling and Crazy Monkey Defense; a style of boxing. Conveniently located in the heart of Bangkok, our goal is to provide a positive learning environment for those interested in learning/training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and by doing so we believe each person can better themselves mentally as much physically. Regardless of your current abilities or fitness level, BJJ can help strengthen your core, increase flexibility, improve motor skills, balance and weight loss.

With Modest beginnings, the initial training space was 4x6 meters in what used to be a hair-salon. Open only on Saturdays for open-mat training, all students regardless of affiliation were invited to train and share with one another. Within that year, we gained enough interest to expand and turn a simple room with a few jigsaw mats into the academy we have today. Now we have students and instructors from all over world coming to train with us throughout the year, celebrating our passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Of course we would not be here without the support and foundation of clubs and instructors before us and to them we are eternally grateful.

Collectively under the banner of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association of Thailand, we’re able to support one another and organize annual events such as the Thailand Open, an annual tournament here in Bangkok since 2008.
